The last week of March hosts not only the Mobile Carrier Show in Las Vegas and the South Wireless Summit in Nashville but also Smart Cities Connect Conference collocated with US Ignite in Kansas City. In the past 2 1/2 years, US Ignite has launched the Smart Gigabit Communities program (sponsored by the NSF as a $6 million, three-year effort) and the Platforms for Advanced Wireless Research project (in partnership with Northeastern University, supported by the NSF and 25 leading companies in the wireless sector).
