The Chinese on Artificial Intelligence (AI)

It amazes me that people talk about whether or not machines can become human beings.
A more appropriate question seems “AI is incapable of performing which tasks that humans do?”

What difference does it make that machines aren’t human if different machines can perform
separate functions that humans perform, albeit independent of different machines performing
separate functions?

What are the chances that a coordinated society can achieve a mature level
of AI before a competitive culture?
